Description

The slide library houses an expanding collection of 140,000 slides of works of art and architecture spanning from prehistoric days to modern times. The collection also contains over 80,000 photographs including the Anderson collection from Alinari and prints from private English collections of the Courtauld Institute. In addition, the library holds a microfiche collection of more than 520,000 images including photo archives from Marburg and Cologne.

Instructions for Use

The facility may be used by:

  • MU Faculty
  • MU Students
  • Museum of Art and Archaeology Staff
  • Museum of Art and Archaeology Docents

Slides may be checked out for a 24 hour period. There is a late fee of $0.25 for each day a slide is not returned. In addition, a charge of $6.00 will be applied for all lost or damaged slides. Duplication of slides is not permitted. Photograph use is restricted to Pickard Hall.
