Giving to AHA

The enduring contributions of former students, faculty, and friends live on in our student fellowships. Awards vary each year depending on available resources and student needs. Your donation to any of our fellowship funds makes a real difference in our programs. Please make checks in any amount payable to the University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Art History and Archaeology, and specify the fund you wish to support. 

Development Fund. This general, unrestricted gift fund is used to meet the most pressing needs of the department.   

The Osmund Overby Fund supports faculty and students whose research and professional interests focus on American art, architecture, and historic preservation.      

The Edzard Baumann Fellowship supports travel abroad by graduate art history students. 

The John Pickard Fellowship supports an outstanding full-time graduate student in art history or classical archaeology.   

The William R. Biers Fellowship helps undergraduate archaeology students participate in the summer program of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. 

The Herbert W. Schooling Fellowship, established in honor of MU's former chancellor, is awarded to advanced graduate students in the department.  

The Irina Hans Fellowship, established in honor of an outstanding former student (BA with Honors 2000; MA 2002), is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students in art history. 

The Saul and Gladys Weinberg Traveling Fellowship supports overseas research by graduate students in classical archaeology.
